	Enjoy home made mulled wine in front of an open log fire and enjoy the freedom that Gatehouse of Fleet and the surrounding area has to offer, right on your doorstep.

	On Christmas Eve stroll along to Midnight Mass at the local church. On New Years Eve meet at the clock tower to take part in the local Hogmanay celebrations

Mulled Wine Recipe

Preparation time – 5 minutes
Cooking time – 15 minutes

Ingredients
75cl Bottle of red wine
300ml (1/2 pint ) water
300ml (1/2 pint ) orange juice
3tbs caster sugar
1 Schwartz Mulled Wine sachet
150ml (1/4 pint) brandy
1 orange, sliced
1 apple, diced

Procedure
Place wine, water, orange juice, sugar and Mulled Wine sachet in a large saucepan.

Heat to just below boiling point and hold this temperature for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove sachet. Stir in brandy and fruit. Enjoy!
