Both of these pub/restaurants are only a few minutes walking distance from Galloway Cottage in Gatehouse of Fleet. The Galloway Country Style coffee shop situated on the High Street is ideal for light snacks with a well stocked gift and kilt making shop.
Refreshments are also available at The Mill on the Fleet overlooking the River.

Just a short distance from Galloway Cottage there are excellent pubs and restaurants in Twynholm, Kirkcudbright and Creetown. The nearest larger towns, Newton Stewart and Castle Douglas, both have a selection of the more popular restaurant styles including Chinese and Indian food.
