FAQ’S

This is the place for frequently asked questions about your self catering holiday at Galloway Cottage. We’ll be adding to it as people pose queries where the answers might be useful to other guests.

Is Galloway Cottage easy to get to?

Galloway Cottage is centrally located in Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland. The area has good road links with the main euro route A75 between Carlisle and Stranraer. Dumfries has a main line railway station and Gatehouse is well served by local bus routes.

Do I need to bring anything for my stay?

Bed linen and towels are provided at Galloway Cottage. There is also a spare supply of each. The bathroom has a 110/240v ac shaver point. An iron and ironing board are also available.

What time can I arrive and depart the cottage for my holiday?

Galloway Cottage will be ready for your arrival at 4pm on the first day of the holiday. You will need to vacate the cottage by 10am on the last day of your holiday. This is to allow us to maintain the high standards of cleanliness for all our guests.

Can I book a different start date or length of holiday to those shown?

Our standard holidays begin on Saturday and are booked in seven day periods. If you need a different start day or length of holiday please contact us and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

How can I pay for my holiday?

Cheques made payable to DISC along with the booking form are ideal but we can provide details for bank transfers or Internet banking if required.

Do you provide anything to entertain my children?

Along with the television, dvd and vhs player there is a selection of films and Galloway Cottage also has other games available.

Is there a shower in the bathroom?

Yes. A complete new bathroom suite has been fitted during February 2007.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, pets are not allowed.

What happens if I
cancel my holiday?

We will make every attempt to re-let your holiday at Galloway Cottage but our conditions page has full details. Complete cancellation insurance is available from www.cancellationplan.com including travel costs
